"Three countries intend to secretly provide financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the local media.
According to the report, these countries have agreed to join NATO's Priority Needs List initiative in a covert manner to supply weapons to Kyiv.
According to V. Zelensky, the leaders of unnamed countries made this decision at the European Union summit held in Cyprus. The allocated amount is expected to be approximately 350-400 million euros. This funding will be directed towards the provision of weapons intended to rapidly meet the urgent needs of the Ukrainian army.
Recall that some time ago the European Council approved the 20th package of sanctions against Russia. Alongside this, the procedure for approving financing worth 90 billion euros for Ukraine, covering the years 2026 and 2027, has also been completed.
According to the European Union's position, the funds allocated to Kyiv for military operations will be compensated in the future with reparations obtained from Russia. The mentioned loan will be financed through European credits attracted from commercial markets under the guarantee of the EU budget./oxu.az
