As the doctor explained, excess sugar in the diet causes chronic inflammation in the body. This creates a favorable environment for the development of cancer cells.
The specialist also named sugar as the main cause of the obesity epidemic: “This disease increases the risk of at least 13 types of cancer. 40 percent of all cancer diagnoses in the USA are related to excess weight. This is a very large number.”
