There will be a temporary interruption in the gas supply for 14 thousand subscribers in Sumqayit city.
"Azəriqaz İB" informed Medianews.az from the Sumqayit QIS that on 26.03.2026, a leak was detected in the medium-pressure, PE-250 mm gas pipeline located in the direction of the Kimyachilar settlement of Sumqayit city, supplying gas to the Khazar gardens, 22nd neighborhood, 26th neighborhood, Taza kotej and Old kotej settlements.
It was noted that due to repair and restoration work to eliminate the leak and prevent the accident, there will be a temporary interruption in the gas supply for a total of 14 thousand subscribers in these areas starting from 10:00 on March 26 until the work is completed.
In addition, it was reported that subscribers living in the Sumqayit boulevard area will also experience interruptions in gas supply during the repair works.
It was noted that after the completion of the repair works, the gas supply to subscribers will be restored gradually.
