According to the new amendment to the legislation, men are granted a paid leave of 14 calendar days on the basis of a certificate from a medical institution in connection with the birth of a child.
Medianews.az reports that this encouragement of fatherhood both distributes family responsibility and increases parental care in the early stages of the child. Experts note that paternity leave has a positive effect on the physical and emotional development of the child and also strengthens attachment in family relationships.
