The recent appointments to vacant positions in the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan have updated the age ranking of government members.

Medianews.az reports that the current average age in the 37-member cabinet (including the prime minister, deputy prime ministers, ministers, and heads of committees, services, agencies, and departments) exceeds 53 years.

7 members were born in the 1980s, 16 members in the 1970s, 9 members in the 1960s, 4 members in the 1950s, and 1 member in 1945.

The youngest government member is Defense Industry Minister Vuqar Mustafayev, born in 1986.

Agriculture Minister Macnun Mammadov was born in 1983, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev in 1982, Chairman of the State Statistics Committee Azer Mursagulov in 1981, Finance Minister Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anar Aliyev, and Head of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov in 1980.

Justice Minister Farid Ahmadov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Rashad Ismayilov, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Minister of Culture Adil Kerimli, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov, and Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Ramin Mammadov were born in 1979.
