One of the recent changes to the labor legislation is the provision of 14 calendar days of paid leave for men in connection with the birth of their child.
Lent.az reports that already 81 employers have granted paid paternity leave of 14 calendar days to nearly 100 employees in connection with the birth of their child.
This leave covers periods before and after the birth of the child.
The order to grant the employee paid paternity leave is issued by the employer and electronically generated in the Labor and Employment subsystem (EMAS) of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. For this purpose, new functionality was introduced in EMAS in January of this year.
