On April 12, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran resumed its activities.
This was reported to Medianews.az by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
It was stated that the embassy will initially operate with a limited number of diplomatic and administrative staff, including the ambassador.
Considering security and organizational matters, it is planned to regulate the embassy's activities in a phased manner.
The resumption of activities by the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran shortly after the announcement of a ceasefire and a two-week truce in the military operations in Iran is a clear example of the special importance Azerbaijan attaches to its relations with neighboring and friendly Iran.
Our country once again declares its support for initiatives aimed at ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
