Azerbaijani singer Jahid Huseynli, known by the nickname Jony in Russia, has canceled his performances at private events.
Medianews.az, referring to News24.az, reports that the reason for this was the problem with the singer's voice during his performance in Minsk.
He has canceled his concerts until mid-April.
The singer is prohibited not only from singing but also from speaking.
The 30-year-old artist developed inflammation of the vocal cords, which worsened during the concert on March 27.
During the performance, Huseynli was given five adrenaline injections to reduce the inflammation and alleviate the pain. Although he was able to finish the performance, his condition deteriorated.
Huseynli is currently under medical supervision. He has been prescribed hormonal and anti-inflammatory treatment to reduce swelling, as well as inhalation and lung humidification.
Additionally, the singer must strictly follow a sleep regimen and avoid a stressful work schedule for three weeks.
If the recovery process goes without complications, the artist may return to the stage by April 19.
