Since yesterday, snow has been observed in the regions of Gobustan, Agsu, Shamakhi, and Ismayilli. The snow, falling intermittently, has intensified since the morning hours.
Medianews.az reports, citing AZERTAC, that due to heavy snow, live forces and special equipment have been deployed to the Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh highway. Although no serious problems have been recorded so far, there is a possibility of roads icing over.
On the section of the Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh road passing through the Agsu pass, in steep and winding areas, as well as on the Ismayilli-Lahij and Mughanli-Ismayilli highways, icing has been observed.
Drivers are advised to be cautious, adhere to speed limits, and postpone long trips for the next two days unless necessary.
