Former star of "Barcelona" FLED from Iran

Munir El Haddadi, a Moroccan forward playing for Iran's "Esteqlal" club, has left the country amid recent events.

According to Milli.Az, the footballer announced this on his personal social media account. He stated that after the attacks by the USA and Israel, safety issues became a priority, and for this reason, he decided to leave the country.

According to Haddadi, the initial plan was to leave Iran by air. However, due to difficulties related to the evacuation process, the flight did not take place. Afterwards, the footballer, who traveled by car organized by the club to the land border, was able to cross into Turkey. He emphasized that he is currently in a safe place.

The experienced forward also noted that he will travel to Spain in the coming days.

It should be noted that Munir El Haddadi began his football career at the Barcelona academy. He later played for Valencia, Deportivo La Coruna, and other La Liga representatives. In September 2025, he signed a contract with Iran's "Esteqlal" club.
