Medianews.az reports that in the tournament held since 1955, called the European Champion Clubs' Cup until 1992, "Real" has been champion 15 times, "Bayern" and "Liverpool" 6 times, "Barcelona" 5 times, "Chelsea" 2 times, and "Manchester City" and PSG once each.
In the 2025-2026 season, which started with 82 teams, the tournament had four qualifying rounds; those eliminated in the first round moved to the Conference League, while those eliminated in the subsequent rounds moved to the Europa League. In the group stage consisting of 36 teams, the top 8 advanced to the round of 16, and those placed 9th to 24th competed in the round of 32 for this round.
The round of 16 will be held from March 10 to 18.
The final of the season (May 30) has been scheduled to take place in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
