The time for performing the Ramadan holiday prayer in Azerbaijan's mosques has been announced.
Medianews.az, citing Trend, reports that on March 20 at 8:00 AM, the first holiday prayer will be held at the Ajdarbey Mosque in Baku.
At the Təzəpir Mosque, the holiday prayer will be performed at 9:00 AM.
The holiday prayer is expected to be led by the head imam of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh.
It should be noted that in a fatwa issued today by the CMO Clerics Council, it was stated that one of the important acts of fasting, the fitra alms, should be given on the last day of Ramadan - after the evening prayer on the holiday.
It is recommended to give 10-15 manat per person as fitra alms.
