Cambodian King Norodom Siamoni has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Medianews.az reports, citing Ajans.az, that the 72-year-old monarch will travel to China for treatment.
It is reported that he and his mother Norodom Monineath went to Beijing at the end of February for scheduled examinations. No information has been given about the stage of the cancer.
It should be noted that Siamoni's father, Norodom Sihanouk, was also diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1993 and lived until 2012 following treatment.
Siamoni became king in October 2004 after his father abdicated the throne. Previously, he worked as Cambodia's ambassador to UNESCO and was known as a classical ballet dancer.
