The Milli Majlis has adopted at first reading the payment of tuition fees at the expense of the state budget for the children of mine-clearers who died during mine-clearing activities.
Medianews.az reports that the draft law envisages amendments to the Tax Code, the "Education" and "Mine Clearance Activities" laws, and the aim is to strengthen the social protection of families belonging to this category.
According to the amendments, 400 manat will be deducted from the taxable monthly income of family members of deceased mine-clearers, and also, their children’s tuition fees will be covered by the state budget if they receive paid education in state and private educational institutions.
The rule will be applied from September 15, 2026, and will also apply to the children of mine-clearers who died before the law comes into effect, up to the age of 23. //Publika.az
