As noted, immediately after the news of the drone attack carried out against cargo ships in the Sea of Azov on June 5, which resulted in the death and injury of our citizens, employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation immediately set out for the area.

The information states that the staff of the consular section of the embassy are currently in the city of Yeisk and are providing appropriate consular support by staying with the injured and rescued Azerbaijani citizens. The condition of the injured is good, and it is planned that several will be discharged from the hospital shortly.
Search and rescue operations carried out by the relevant bodies of the Russian Federation continue within the framework of identifying the identities of the deceased and other necessary measures.
At the same time, necessary measures are being taken to carry out documentation procedures for the rescued Azerbaijani citizens, to provide them with return certificates, and to organize their return to the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is keeping the issue under special control and is maintaining close coordination with the relevant bodies.
Additional information will be provided to the public regarding the identities of the deceased and the transfer of their bodies to our country.
