On February 10, the signing ceremony of the "Strategic Partnership Charter between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States of America" was held in Baku.
The document was signed by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Vice President of the USA, James David Wence.

Elvin Abbasov, chairman of the Azerbaijan Information and Communication Technologies Industry Association, in a statement to Medianews.az, said that the Charter also includes an agreement on the establishment of a large data center for artificial intelligence.
E. Abbasov stated that the realization of the aforementioned project and the construction of the center by US companies means that our country will have some of the world's most advanced digital systems: "This is not only an economic step but also a new opportunity for our youth for new jobs and to learn world-renowned technologies locally. Such cooperation will transform Azerbaijan into the main digital center of the region, opening up prospects for local startups and young programmers."
According to E. Abbasov, the arrival of the world's giant American IT companies to Azerbaijan will trigger a complete renewal of the digital ecosystem in our country: "The experience and technological base of giants like 'OpenAI', 'Anthropic', 'Google', 'Microsoft', or 'Amazon' will set new standards in the local market. The start of activities by these companies in our country will create a unique environment both for a significant influx of investment and for Azerbaijani specialists to participate directly in global projects."
"In the future, Azerbaijan will not only export raw energy resources to the world but will also process that energy in high-tech data centers and export 'digital value' and intellectual products."
