Except for the Ministry of National Defense (MND) in Turkey, appointments have been made to all ministries related to the Emergency Situations and Defense Planning Directorate under the Presidential Administration.
Medianews.az reports, citing Qafqazinfo, that the relevant decree of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was published today in the "Official Gazette."
The main duties of the Directorate include managing and coordinating measures related to natural disasters and emergencies, as well as civil defense, mobilization, and preparation for martial law.
The Emergency Situations and Defense Planning Directorate will provide the Presidential Administration, as well as management centers for natural disasters and emergencies, with relevant information and will also fulfill the tasks assigned by the ministers.
The Ministry of National Defense has not been included in this Directorate since it is the main executor of this policy and is always prepared for war and defense.
It should be noted that the Emergency Situations and Defense Planning Directorate under the Presidential Administration was established by the decree of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in October 2025. The appointments were made today.
