An intra-family dispute in Russia resulted in a serious crime. A woman stabbed her husband after he mentioned another woman's name in his sleep.

An argument arose between the intoxicated husband and wife. The man insulted his wife and wanted to drive her out of the house. At night, the husband mentioning another woman's name in his sleep angered the woman, and she stabbed her husband three times with a knife. One of the wounds was severe – the man's lung was injured.
After the incident, the woman provided first aid to her injured husband, called the neighbors and emergency services. The doctors were able to save his life.
The court found the woman guilty of attempted intentional homicide and sentenced her to 6.5 years imprisonment. The victim asked the court for forgiveness for his wife, but the verdict was not changed.
