The daughter of Hamlet Musayev, former deputy head of the Ministry of Justice's Forensic Expertise Center, has been arrested.
Medianews.az reports that M. Musayeva is accused of embezzling more than half a million manats from a person by fraud.
The initial accusation states that M. Musayeva deceived Ü. Guliyeva, whom she knew beforehand, with the promise of providing a job. For this purpose, together with other accomplices, she received a total of 610 thousand manats from the victim.
An investigation was launched following Ü. Guliyeva's complaint to the police department.
According to the complainant, M. Musayeva used the names of close relatives who held high-ranking positions while engaging in unlawful activities. This created additional trust in the victim.
The accused initially evaded the investigation but was detained by police officers shortly afterward.
She has been charged under Article 178.4 of the Criminal Code (particularly fraud involving a large amount), and a court decision has set a three-month pretrial detention measure against her.
It is currently reported that there are other complainants against the accused as well.
It should be noted that M. Musayeva's father, Hamlet Musayev, worked for many years in the justice system. He also served for a time as the acting head of the Ministry of Justice's Forensic Expertise Center. (Qafqazinfo)
