Ready meals and fast food harms heart health

Experts state that fast food and processed foods pose a serious risk to the cardiovascular system and recommend avoiding these products for healthy nutrition.

Medianews.az reports that Turkish cardiologist Yüksel Doğan spoke about this.

According to him, the increasing habit of ready-made food with the fast lifestyle disrupts the body's balance.

Processed foods contain high amounts of calories, salt, and sugar, as well as harmful trans fats and small amounts of fiber and antioxidants.

Doctors note that these foods increase appetite, leading to excess weight and obesity. At the same time, high blood sugar, over a long period, increases the risk of diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol. These factors together create conditions for cardiovascular diseases.

Experts recommend giving priority to homemade meals for healthy nutrition. Controlling salt and sugar in home-cooked meals, avoiding additional additives, and choosing seasonal products are considered important for a healthy life.
