Eating excessive chocolate increases the risk of cancer

Eating excessive chocolate increases the risk of cancer.

Medianews.az, referring to BAKU.WS, reports that this was stated by surgeon Lukas Nassif.

He noted that excessive consumption of a sweet increases the risk of developing cancer.

He stated this in an interview with the publication "Terra."

Nassif noted that the liver is responsible for the metabolism of all the food a person eats.

Chocolate contains a large amount of sugar and fat. As a result, the organ begins to work more.

The doctor warned that this frequent consumption can lead to fatty liver disease. He added that this condition increases the risk of cirrhosis, fibrosis, and even liver cancer.

The doctor identified symptoms of fatty liver disease to include chronic fatigue, a feeling of heaviness after eating, discomfort on the right side of the abdomen, an increase in fat in the abdominal area, and elevated levels of liver enzymes in blood tests.
