Doctors in Russia have successfully removed a live tick from the eye of a 57-year-old woman.
Medianews.az reports that the incident occurred while the woman was working in the garden and touched her face to some bushes.
Initially, the woman considered the discomfort as if dust had gotten into her eye, but after the pain and irritation increased, she consulted a doctor. During the examination, doctors discovered a live tick among her eyelashes.
Removing the tick completely and avoiding damage to the eye tissues took time. The tick was sent to the laboratory for analysis.
Currently, the woman's condition is good, and there is no danger to her vision or life.
