The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baqaei, stated that currently it is pointless to discuss possible mediation efforts for a ceasefire in the Middle East.
According to Medianews.az citing "Report," he made this statement at a briefing held on March 9.
"Currently, combat operations are ongoing. In this specific situation, it is pointless to talk about anything other than the country's defense," he said.
Baqaei added that Iran is engaged in a forced war and that it did not start it.
