"Iran decided to open fire yesterday in the Hormuz Strait — this is a complete violation of our ceasefire agreement! Many of the bullets were aimed at a French ship and a British cargo ship."
Medianews.az reports, citing APA, that US President Donald Trump shared this on the social network "Truth."
In his post, Trump expressed regret, saying, "This is not a good situation, is it?":
"My representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — they will be there tomorrow evening for talks. Iran recently announced that it has closed the Hormuz Strait, which sounds strange. Because our blockade has already closed the strait. Without realizing it, they are helping us, and the ones suffering the most from the closed passage are themselves — losing 500 million dollars a day! The US, on the other hand, loses nothing. On the contrary, currently many ships are heading to the US — to the states of Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska — to load cargo. This can always be considered the 'contribution' of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which wants to be the 'tough side!'"
We offer a very fair and logical agreement and I hope they will accept it. If not, the US will destroy all power plants and all bridges in Iran. The era of leniency is over! They will retreat quickly and easily. If they do not accept the agreement, it will be my honor to do what is necessary — this is the step that other presidents should have taken against Iran over the past 47 years. Iran's 'death machine' must stop now!"
