The Israel Defense Forces struck an Iranian army "Mi-17" helicopter at Sanandaj International Airport, located in Iran's Kurdistan province.
Medianews.az, citing Trend, reports that the press service of the Israel Defense Forces released information about this.
"The strike carried out yesterday further deepens the damage inflicted on the military capabilities of the Revolutionary Guards' Air Force, and expands air superiority in Iran's western region. The military adds that this operation was conducted based on real-time intelligence data," the statement noted.
The IDF released footage of the helicopter being hit on the official "X" page.
