Today, Chief Prosecutor Kamran Aliyev received a delegation led by Yusuf Kuzu, Chairman of the 2nd Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Turkey, who is on a visit to our country.

Medianews.az reports that greeting the delegation, the Chief Prosecutor emphasized that based on the principle of "one nation, two states" established by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the strategic partnership relations between the two brotherly countries are successfully developing in all fields. He noted that as a result of the farsighted foreign policy of Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the friendship and brotherhood relations between our states have been strengthened. Regular meetings, close contacts, and mutual visits carried out within the framework of international events, including joint participation in platforms such as the ongoing 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, play an important role in further developing cooperation between our countries’ legal systems and legal professionals alongside other areas.

Furthermore, the Chief Prosecutor expressed condolences regarding the armed attack on a school located in the cities of Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries, mostly children. He wished patience to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in this tragic and sorrowful incident and hoped for the speedy recovery of the wounded.

Yusuf Kuzu, Chairman of the 2nd Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Turkey, expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown and emphasized the high level of cooperation between our countries’ prosecution, judicial, and justice bodies.

It was noted at the meeting that the cooperation between the prosecution, judicial, and justice systems of our countries continues successfully. The importance of organizing professional development training for judges and prosecutors was also underlined, and confidence was expressed that relations in this direction will continue to develop in the future.

During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on several mutually interesting issues, including reforms carried out in the legal and legislative system.
