An explosion and a strong fire occurred involving three fuel-carrying vehicles under the bridge crossing the Panama Canal.
Medianews.az reports with reference to KONKRET.az that the incident was accompanied by a fire starting on a tanker located under the bridge. Then an explosion occurred, and the flames spread to nearby fuel-carrying vehicles.
As a result of the incident, one person died, and three were injured. Two of the injured have been hospitalized. There is no information regarding the fate of another person.
Due to the accident, traffic on the bridge has been temporarily suspended. The causes of the incident are being investigated.
