Mars for humanity It is not a "rescue plan"

Modern technologies do not allow the creation of a fully independent base that could save humans on Mars. This was stated by Vladimir Sytchev, a representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences and an expert in space biology.

Medianews.az, referring to BAKU.WS, reports that according to him, humanity's migration to Mars in the event of a possible global catastrophe does not seem realistic. "A completely closed biosphere must be built for this, which is not possible at the current technological level," the scientist said.

Sytchev noted that the first people sent to Mars in the future will be heavily dependent on Earth’s resources. At the same time, the issue of protection from secondary radiation on the planet has not yet been resolved.

Recall that NASA plans to send the Rosalind Franklin rover to Mars in 2028.

Experts say that under current conditions, organizing life on Mars is more experimental in nature and not sufficient for large-scale migration.
