"He told me to come, die on the stage"

The next guest of the "Qapqara" program was People's Artist Kazim Abdullayev.

He said that due to his art, he could not spend enough time with his family in the past: "I used to go to work early in the morning and return home after everyone else had gone to bed. I did not see how my children grew up. Then I realized that the children had already grown and were going to university. I had to work nonstop to cover their education, clothing, food, and other expenses."

Kazim Abdullayev shared his dedication to the stage and his sense of responsibility for his profession with a special memory: "Once we had a performance in Mardakan. I was lying at home with a 40-degree fever, shivering from the cold. I called the theater and explained my condition. Amaliya Panahova responded, 'Let him come, even if he dies on stage.' Since the performance was scheduled and tickets were sold, I had to get up and go. You wouldn't believe it, I went on stage, played my role, and by the end of the performance, I was already healed."
