The son of a Ukrainian businessman who was kidnapped during a vacation in Bali, Igor Komarov, was found dead weeks later in a dismembered state.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the posts of Komarov's 28-year-old girlfriend, blogger Yeva Mishalova, on social networks might have played a role in determining his location. According to the claim, these posts made it easier to track him.
The video circulated after the kidnapping shows Komarov subjected to severe torture. The attackers demanded approximately 7 million pounds sterling. The video also includes moments when he was asking for help.
About two weeks later, parts of a human body were found at a tea plantation on the east coast of the island. DNA analysis confirmed that the remains belonged to Komarov. The police announced that the body was cut into different parts. Based on evidence obtained within the investigation, 7 suspects, one of whom used a fake passport, were detained.
After the incident, Yeva Mishalova's continuing social network posts and sharing a photo with Komarov with the note "I love you" sparked public discussions.
