Critical turn in the war: Trump left Israel alone

As tension rises in the Middle East, the attack on the South Pars Gas Field has affected the course of the war. It is reported that some processing facilities of this strategic field, considered one of the world's largest gas reserves, were hit by drones. During the attack, the 3rd and 6th phases of the field were targeted.

Located in the Persian Gulf and shared between Iran and Qatar, the field holds significant importance for the energy economies of both countries.

Medianews.az reports that following the incident, US President Donald Trump stated that the US was unaware of the attack.

He said that Israel took this action amid the regional tension and added that if Iran does not attack Qatar again, there will be no other attacks against the South Pars field. Trump also warned that if such an incident repeats, the field would be destroyed with "unprecedented force."

Against this background, Israeli journalist Barak Ravid denied Trump's remarks. Citing high-level sources, he claimed that the US was informed before the attack and had approved the operation.

At the beginning of the events, some facilities of the gas field were damaged in the drone attack. Following this, as a result of Iran's retaliatory actions, the Ras Laffan Industrial Zone in Qatar was subjected to missile strikes, with fires and severe damage recorded in the area.
