Pashinyan defied Russia: "We are not afraid of the price increase"

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he is not afraid of price increases if Russia stops the agreement on the supply of gas, fuel, and diamonds.

Pashinyan said this following Russia's warning about the possible consequences of Armenia's process of joining the European Union.

"It is unreasonable to scare Armenia with high prices. Because we will have enough money, which will not seem expensive to us," Pashinyan said.

According to him, Armenia is "turning into the intersection point of peace."

"Today, we have a military-industrial complex and we sell weapons to developed countries," the prime minister added.

Russia had previously declared that if Armenia continues the integration process with the European Union, it may stop or cancel the cooperation agreement signed in 2013 for the supply of gas, petroleum products, and rough natural diamonds. This agreement provides for the abolition of export duties.

Armenia's Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure stated that it has not received a letter allegedly sent on behalf of Sergey Tsivilev during the day./Oxu.Az
