The memorandum between the US and Iran will be like this - "Tasnim"

After the visit of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Qatar, progress has been made on the release of Iran's frozen assets amounting to 12 billion dollars, but some details of this issue have not yet been agreed upon.

This was reported by the "Tasnim" agency.

"Despite overall progress in the last two to three days, some disagreements still exist on certain points, and message exchanges continue," the report stated.

It was noted that after the existing disagreements are resolved, a memorandum should be jointly agreed upon, as a unilateral announcement by the US could be completely inaccurate:

"The declaration of a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon, the release of 12 billion dollars (of the total 24 billion dollars) of Iran's frozen assets, the beginning of the removal of the naval blockade, and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz are part of the first steps of the possible agreement."

After this, a 60-day ceasefire period (with the possibility of extension) is envisaged for nuclear negotiations. In the first phase, Iran has not made commitments to halt enriched uranium activities or other nuclear matters. "Sanctions preventing the sale of Iran's oil and petrochemical products should be lifted during the negotiation period," the report emphasized.

It was highlighted that the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of the naval blockade will occur within 30 days: "After the negotiations in Islamabad, there have been no direct talks between Iran and the US; message exchanges and the process of drafting a possible memorandum are being conducted through intermediaries.

The memorandum will consist of 14 articles."

It should be noted that earlier, "Euronews" reported, citing a source, on the issues discussed in Doha and revealed that the main negotiations concerned the Strait of Hormuz and high-level enriched uranium.

Recall that on February 28, the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran and carried out airstrikes on several cities. On the same day, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed as a result of the strikes. In response, Iran attacked Israeli territory and US military bases in Persian Gulf countries.

Iran, the US, and their allies reached a ceasefire agreement on the night of April 8. Trump later extended the ceasefire for an indefinite period.

The parties held talks in Pakistan to resolve the conflict, but the first round held on April 11-12 yielded no results.

The US has blockaded Iranian ports and the passage through the Strait of Hormuz to pressure Tehran. In turn, Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz for vessels heading to the Persian Gulf. The rapidly changing situation in the region has led to a global energy crisis./"Report"
