Problematic loans: There is an increase of 108.5 million manats.

According to the Central Bank's statistical bulletin, as of December 1, 2025, overdue loans in Azerbaijan reached 557.6 million manats. This is 108.5 million manats more compared to the beginning of the year. The year 2025 started with 449.1 million manats of problematic loans.

Medianews.az reports that in 2015, problematic loans amounted to 976.3 million manats. The devaluations of that year increased problematic loans. For 2016, problematic loans amounted to 1 billion 508.5 million manats; for 2017, 1 billion 472.6 million manats; for 2018, 1 billion 626.7 million manats; and for 2019, 1 billion 585 million manats.

In 2019, the government provided devaluation compensations to individuals for loan agreements concluded since January 1, 2012.

As of 2020, overdue loans amounted to 1 billion 273.1 million manats; for 2021, 893.1 million manats; for 2022, 719.4 million manats; for 2023, 593.7 million manats; and for 2024, 437.8 million manats.
