The boy who abducted the girl he broke up with due to jealousy in Ağdaş and the brothers who helped him have been sentenced to long-term imprisonment.
Medianews.az, citing Qafqazinfo, reports that related to the crime, 28-year-old Seyran and his two friends, brothers Elvin and Səxavət (all names are pseudonyms), were tried together.
As for the details of the incident, the main defendant Seyran was in a relationship with Gülsüm for 4 years. Their relationship ended when the girl found out that Seyran was talking to someone else. More precisely, it ended for Gülsüm. Although Seyran tried several times, he could not reconcile with her, so he decided to forcibly abduct Gülsüm with the intent to marry her. His friends, brothers Səxavət and Elvin, helped him in this act.
When Gülsüm was going to her relative's house, Seyran forcibly put her into a car belonging to Səxavət and Elvin, and after seeing the commotion, he threatened her with a knife. Gülsüm, in a bad situation, convinced Seyran that if he released her, she would agree to marry him according to custom.

While on the road, Seyran also forced the girl to make a video stating she would marry him. After Gülsüm returned home, the police immediately began the investigation, and the three friends suspected of kidnapping were also detained.
The injured girl complained about the accused individuals both in her application to the police and in her testimony in court, stating that she did not forgive them.
The Shaki Serious Crimes Court ultimately concluded that the injured person's statement was consistent and fully aligned with the charges. According to the verdict, Seyran was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months, and the brothers Səxavət and Elvin were sentenced to 8 years in prison for kidnapping.
