Disrespect from Russia to Azerbaijan – The “value” that connects Ambassador Zori Balayan

The filthy corpse of Zori Balayan, a staunch enemy of the Turks, has been buried in the ground. This dog, who was one of the main ideologists of numerous acts of genocide and war crimes against the Azerbaijani people, as well as of "miatsum," fortunately saw with his own disgusting eyes at the end of his life how Karabakh was returned to its rightful owner. He also witnessed what punishments a group of junta-backed revanchists faced in Baku.

Of course, one would wish that this terrorist, who was also the initiator of the terrorist act in the Baku metro (July 3, 1994), had died in an Azerbaijani prison, not at large. He had no right to die peacefully. After all, an international search had been issued for Balayan as well.

But still, our only consolation is that we caused this Armenian scoundrel moral torment by destroying "miatsum," the fabricated and mythical "Artsakh," and turned the rest of his life on earth into hell. God willing, the unbearable torment of hell will be his eternal companion in the afterlife as well...

Those things are in their place. What draws attention is the participation of Russia's ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, alongside Armenian bandit-henchmen and revanchist-radicals, in the lavish "farewell ceremony" organized in one of the churches in Yerevan.

It is clear that the ambassador represents not himself but his country—Russia—and expresses its official position. Then, what is the meaning and purpose of this disrespect toward Azerbaijan?

Does this mean that Moscow still hopes for "miatsum," stands with Armenian separatists, and does not consider the former Nagorno-Karabakh conflict closed? Maybe Mr. Kopirkin is still under the influence of the letter-rant that Balayan once wrote to Vladimir Putin, proposing to unite Karabakh with Russia?

Unfortunately, that is the case. "Water flows and finds its gap"...

It is no doubt confirmed by the fact that just a week ago at the Kremlin meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Russian president again wanted to bring up the Karabakh issue. We have also not forgotten that official Moscow still cannot forgive Pashinyan since he signed a document recognizing Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan (October 2022, Prague) and remains angry at him.

The reason is clear: since that event, Baku and Yerevan have taken a reconciliation course without mediators; a peace agreement has been initialed, certain sections of the borders have been delimited and demarcated; there have been no shootings or casualties along the border for two years, and even bilateral trade relations have begun. Thus, the "Karabakh card," which for years was the main leverage against Azerbaijan and Armenia, has effectively slipped from the Kremlin’s hands.

However, Russia has not given up its old imperial ambitions regarding the South Caucasus. Kopirkin’s recalling of Zori Balayan as if he were a beloved one is clear evidence of this. What do you think is the name of the common "value" that unites an internationally wanted criminal and enemy of humanity with the ambassador...
