“Televisions are a major propaganda machine. It has always been this way and should remain so. Therefore, I think it is necessary to start a program, and in each episode, if 45 minutes are devoted to artists, young people will also get to know those actors and actresses. Of course, by using their archive materials, beautiful shows can be created. I am confident that today's reforms on television will yield positive results.”
This was stated by People's Artist Afaq Bəşirqızı in an interview with Medianews.az.
She then stated that she will soon present a long-implemented project to television:
“We must keep those artists alive today. I do not mean just comic actors. For example, I want Səməndər Rzayev to become well-known and remembered. Because I have truly been his admirer. Lütfəli Abdullayev, Nəsibə Zeynalova, Münəvvər Kələntərli, and other actors and actresses should be recognized. There is a great need for such shows. I think I will prepare this show soon and propose it to TV channels. God willing, let’s see how it will go?”
Afaq Bəşirqızı stated that she promoted true art to some artists and achieved a good rapport with their audience:
“I have directed many actors and actresses who performed with me on stage toward naturalness. I have distanced them from silliness, exaggeration, and creating a foolish rapport with the audience. Such cases are very far from the artists around me. I consider myself very happy because they always uphold my habits, the demands I set, and the respect toward the stage at a high level.”
