Sherlock Holmes' friend Watson has passed away

British actor David Burke, known for his role as "Doctor Watson" in the famous "Sherlock Holmes Adventures" series, has died at the age of 92.

The cause of the actor's death has not been disclosed by his representatives.

David Burke was born in 1934 in Liverpool. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1960. After graduation, the actor performed at Bristol's "Old Vic," the Royal "Lyceum" theaters, as well as worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.

He began acting in film and television in the early 1960s. His filmography includes projects such as "Riviera Police," "Quietly," "Dickson of Dock Green," and "The Musketeers."
