Several residential areas have been cut off from transportation connections as a result of the collapse of a bridge in the Siyazan district.
Medianews.az, citing "Qafqazinfo," reports that the incident occurred due to heavy rains and the rise in the water level of the river.
As a result, the bridge became unusable and serious difficulties arose in the movement of residents living in the area.
Regarding the issue, in response to our inquiry from the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA), it was stated that a part of the bridge located over the Gilgilchay river at the 11th km of the Siyazan-Mashrif highway was washed away this morning due to the continuous rains and subsequent flooding: "Employees of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads were immediately deployed to the area, and safety measures were taken.
Drivers are kindly requested to use the Alkhanli road, which diverges from the 115th km of the Baku-Quba-Russian Federation state border road, as an alternative."
