Syria's transitional period president Ahmad Al Sharaa commented on the dance and music program staged at the event held in Damascus.
Medianews.az reports that he said he was not informed about the event in advance and that the invitation came at the last moment.
Sharaa noted that at the time he was preparing for a trip to the Gulf countries and did not attend the event deliberately. He expressed surprise at the content of the program shown.
The president also emphasized the importance of national events being in accordance with the cultural values of society and disclosed that he has given instructions for future events to be held in line with Syrian customs and traditions.
