Honored artist Tahir Imanov has responded for the first time to claims about him being a Wahhabi.
Medianews.az, citing Yeni Sabah, reports that he shared a statement about this on the social media account of "Planet Parni iz Baku".
The actor expressed dissatisfaction with those who made statements and wrote articles about his religious affiliation:
"Do not interfere in the private life of my family. You even attach various nicknames to me. Although there is freedom in our religion according to the law. You write that Tahir's religious sect is such and such. Thank God, I am a Muslim. I do not assign nicknames to anyone. For me, every brother and sister in Islam is a Muslim. Unlike you, I do not divide people into sects. Do not interfere in our private life. If this situation repeats, I will use all the opportunities given to me by Azerbaijani legislation. This is not a threat. Then do not beg me to withdraw the application.".
It should be noted that after the death of the late Honored artist Jabir Imanov, claims about his brother Tahir Imanov being a Wahhabi spread on social media.
