Amendments have been made to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Citizens' Appeals" (Legislative Collection of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2015, No. 11, article 1248 (Volume I)).
Medianews.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree on this matter.
"6.7. An electronic appeal is entered into the official internet information resource of the entity considering the appeal, sent to the electronic address of that entity or its official, or submitted via EHIS.";
"7.6. Electronic appeals are reviewed by the entity considering the appeal or its official by providing a written response via electronic or postal address, or through EHIS, based on the choice of the appellant. If the information specified in articles 6.3.5 and 6.3.6 of this Law is not provided in the electronic appeal (except for appeals submitted via EHIS), the appeal is responded to in writing via post.".
Moreover, citizens register for reception by appealing with an identity document or by registering through electronic signature on the official internet information resource of the entity considering the appeal or via EHIS: "In all three cases, the citizen registered for reception must present their identity card on the day of the reception; if a representative attends the reception on behalf of the appealing citizen, that representative must present a document confirming their authority.".
