Fatma İkra Çam, a 5th-grade student who survived the armed attack at a school in Kahramanmaraş city, shared what she experienced during the incident.

The student stated that the attacker entered the classroom and said in English, "You have no escape," then immediately started shooting.
The student, who was hiding under a desk during the incident, said that a classmate stood in front of her to protect her from the bullets. Then, to escape from the attacker who left the classroom, she jumped out of a window and was injured in her leg.
After being treated and discharged, the student said the incident had a serious psychological impact on her: "I am afraid to go to either home or school. The words he said still appear in my dreams."
The student also said that she learned her teacher and two classmates—Belinay Nur Boyraz and Kerem Erdem Güngör—lost their lives in the hospital. According to her, her teacher was a pedagogue very much loved by the students and explained the lessons clearly.
Recall that as a result of the attack, 9 people, including 1 teacher, were killed and 13 were injured.
