Don't buy cheap clothes - REASON

Labels on clothes provide important information about the quality of the product and its impact on health.

Medianews.az, referring to Milli.Az, reports that the educational trend started on social media by Italian entrepreneur Mattia Berveglieri has brought this issue back to the agenda.

He stated that clothes purchased at a cheap price can later cost more in terms of both quality and health.

It is noted that when buying clothes, attention should first be paid to the fabric composition. In particular, products consisting of 50% cotton and 50% polyester blend are not recommended. Such fabrics often cause sweating, odor formation, and the product wearing out quickly.

More accurate choices are natural materials such as 100% cotton, wool, and linen. Additionally, fabrics containing a small amount of elastane (2-5 percent) to provide elasticity of the garment are also considered suitable. Viscose materials are also mentioned as an alternative option.

Experts state that there is a high probability of using low-quality materials or cheap labor in the production of very cheap products.

Specialists warn that "recycled polyester" still continues to harm the environment. Such cases are called "greenwashing," meaning creating an ecological image to mislead consumers.

Experts recommend three main rules for proper shopping: buy less, purchase higher quality products, and use them for a long time.
