Famous British radio presenter and DJ Andy Kershaw has passed away after battling cancer.
Medianews.az reports that his family has confirmed his death. Kershaw was 66 years old.
In recent months, the presenter was unable to walk due to illness, but the type of cancer he suffered from has not been disclosed. He was born in 1959 in the town of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, and graduated from the University of Leeds.
He worked at BBC Radio 1 from 1985 to 2000, and later at BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4, covering music and world news, including reporting on conflicts.
