Worrying forecast for 2027: The world could warm up.

According to new climate models released by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAA and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts ECMWF, the likelihood of a strong "Super El Nino" has increased.

Medianews.az reports that scientists state that if the El Nino event, which occurs due to significant warming of the sea surface in the Pacific Ocean, combines with human-induced climate change, global temperature records could be broken again in 2027.

According to forecasts, the temperature in the central equatorial Pacific Ocean is expected to be approximately 3 degrees above normal during the autumn months. An increase above 2 degrees is considered a "Super El Nino," and in this case, significant changes in weather conditions worldwide could occur.

Experts indicate that such a strong event could lead to an increase in droughts, floods, tropical storms, and heatwaves. Warm and humid airwaves could intensify in the western US, while the risk of drought may increase in southern regions. Increased rainfall is expected in some areas of Asia and the Middle East.

The last strong "Super El Nino" was recorded in 2015, during which serious climate repercussions were experienced in many parts of the world.

Scientists warn that temperature changes in the Pacific Ocean could reach a critical threshold in the coming months, making government preparedness for disasters essential.
