Young man accused of assaulting an elderly woman was arrested

At the Dashkasan District Court, a motion regarding M.M., who is accused of sexual violence against a 65-year-old woman, was reviewed.
Medianews.az reports that the court granted the motion and imposed a pre-trial detention measure for four months against the individual.
It should be noted that in July of last year, information was shared about an incident of violence committed by a person born in 2000 against a woman born in 1961 in the village of Qabaqtepe in Dashkasan district.
An investigation was conducted by the Dashkasan District Prosecutor's Office regarding the reported complaint, material evidence relevant to the case was collected through an inspection of the scene, the circle of necessary persons was identified and their statements were obtained, and appropriate expert examinations were assigned and opinions were received.
Based on the collected materials, a criminal case was initiated under Articles 149.1 (rape) and 150.1 (acts of sexual violence) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
