The head of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, will not attend the funeral ceremony of Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Medianews.az reports that according to information obtained by Modern.az, Sheikh ul-Islam will be on another foreign trip, which had been planned earlier, on the dates when Khamenei’s funeral ceremony will take place.
Specifically, Allahshukur Pashazadeh will travel to Uzbekistan to participate in official events there during those days. As a result, he will not be able to attend the farewell and funeral ceremonies organized in Tehran.
It should be noted that Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s farewell ceremony will begin on July 4 at 06:00 at the Imam Khomeini Musalla complex in Tehran and will continue until 20:00 on July 5. After the ceremonies held in Tehran and Qom, Khamenei’s body will be taken to four cities in Iraq, and subsequently returned to Mashhad for the final burial.
The late Supreme Leader’s interment is scheduled to take place on July 9 in the city of Mashhad.
