In January of this year, 1,904.4 tons of butter were produced in Azerbaijan.
Milli.Az reports that this indicator decreased by 13.2% compared to the same month of the previous year.
As of January 1, the inventory of finished products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises amounted to 74.2 tons. During this period, margarine production in the country decreased by 28.5% compared to January 2025, reaching 3,700.6 tons, while refined vegetable oil production increased by 15.6% to 4,576.6 tons.
Additionally, last month in Azerbaijan, 219.6 thousand decaliters (1 dkl = 10 liters) of fruit juices, 11,433.5 tons of fruit and vegetable preserves, and 6.4 thousand tons of food salt were produced, which respectively represent decreases of 44.5%, 8.2%, and 11.1% compared to January of the previous year.
It should be noted that in 2025, a total of 20,130.38 tons of butter valued at 145,314.48 thousand US dollars and 4,086.42 tons of margarine valued at 5,795.09 thousand US dollars were imported into the country.
