Within the framework of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), a flag-raising ceremony of Azerbaijan and the UN flags was held at the Baku Olympic Stadium on May 17.
Medianews.az reports that the ceremony was attended by Anar Guliyev, the national coordinator of WUF13 and chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, and Anoklaudia Rossbach, the executive director of the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
The flag-raising ceremony symbolizes the official start of the session and once again demonstrates the high international significance of the event.
